Cary received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from the California Lutheran University where he excelled at sports including intercollegiate football, track, and basketball. He then pursued a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, graduating in 1996. In 2000, he earned a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Since becoming a licensed physical therapist, Cary has worked in a variety of settings including: out patient orthopedic clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and as an adjunct faculty member at Azusa Pacific University. He enjoys providing care and rehabilitation for the working athlete, the senior population, and the chronic pain patient, and takes a special interest in treatments involving the foot, ankle and balance dysfunction issues. Over the years, Cary became adept at providing functional capacity testing, and obtained his certification as a Functional Capacity Evaluator in 2002.
In 2005, Cary along with his business partner and wife, Alysa Caulfield, P.T., purchased the Capitol Physical Therapy practice in downtown Sacramento. Together, they now manage and operate four CPT clinics and work tirelessly to provide a growing array of services for the Sacramento region’s diverse population.
